Lexington, Kentucky (November 19, 2001) Office Suites PLUS announces the acquisition of two office business centers, becoming the largest provider of short-term office space in the Raleigh metro area. The two centers acquired are located at 8601 Six Forks Road in Raleigh and 201 Shannon Oaks Circle in Cary and were previously operated under the name “EPCOR Business Centers”.
Office Suites PLUS presently operates three other centers in North Carolina located at 3737 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh, 2500 Regency Parkway in Cary and Tyvola Road and I-77 in Charlotte. Office Suites PLUS operates 17 office business centers located in seven states, providing office space, conference rooms and a full range of turnkey communication and administrative support services in each center.
According to James C. Baughman, Jr., President of Office Suites PLUS, the company’s operating practices and philosophies are specifically designed to meet the office and communication support needs demanded by today’s business environment. “Often, a company’s success depends upon its flexibility, speed to market and an ability to communicate with its employees. At Office Suites PLUS, our goal is to provide solutions for companies that need a flexible alternative to traditional long-term leases with instant access to the technology demanded by today’s mobile workforce.”
Experts have estimated that there are currently over 50 million mobile workers in America and, since September 11, this number is expected to continue to increase. A lot of these mobile workers are working from branch offices, an office at home or office business centers; many are working in the field from their car or from a client’s or vendor’s office. Advances in communication and technology have allowed this to occur—rapidly. The challenge facing companies is to securely provide the same level of access to corporate information to the remotely located employee who often lacks a dedicated, high-bandwidth network connection.
The goal for Office Suites PLUS is to provide instant access to state-of-the-art technology in a professional office setting. In addition to furnished office space, each office is pre-wired and supplied with telephone service and high-speed Internet access. Standard features include a direct dial telephone number, personalized telephone answering services, voice mail services, use of our conference rooms and access to our growing number of other office centers located throughout the Southeast and Midwest. Additional services, such as copying, word processing, faxing, videoconferencing and mailing services are also available.
Offices are available by the hour, day, week, month, year or longer. Individual offices, conference rooms and services are available for one-time, part-time or full-time use. For companies or individuals that do not need a full-time office but require access to technology and other support services, professional image programs are available to provide everything from mail receipt and telephone answering to part-time office and conference room use.
Office Suites PLUS was founded and is lead by Mr. Norwood Cowgill, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Baughman. Office Suites PLUS operates a network of full-service executive suite business centers, serving as a one-stop source for corporations and individual professionals seeking a flexible solution to traditional office space, a home office and/or existing support alternatives. Office Suites PLUS opened a business center in Raleigh in December 1999, located at 3737 Glenwood Avenue.
The new business center in Cary is located at 2500 Regency Parkway and has 60 furnished offices that are available by the hour, day, week, month or for a year or longer. According to Norwood Cowgill, Jr., Office Suites PLUS’ Chief Executive Officer, “The challenge facing many companies today is to securely provide the same level of access to corporate information to the remotely located employee who often lacks a high-bandwidth network connection. Our business centers are uniquely qualified to provide a single point-of-care for growing companies, whether they need virtual space or a physical place.”
This facility is a prototype building developed by Office Suites PLUS. It is approximately a 19,000 square foot, two-story building that cost approximately $3 million to construct. Each of the company’s business centers have been designed and furnished, and are operated pursuant to uniform plans and specifications to facilitate uniform quality standards.
Office Suites PLUS was founded and is lead by Mr. Cowgill and James C. Baughman, Jr., Executive Vice President.
